Questions about HCF / Potentially looking to build HCF server

Hey guys, I grew up playing HCF and Factions and I truly believe its one of the most fun gamemodes out there and it saddens to me to see it died. Between the cannon building to building giant bases I never had so much fun on a video game.

Do you guys think there is still a community for it, or an opportunity for it to reach younger generation? Minecraft is usually on a cycle of getting super popular every 2-3 years and I think its coming soon, just needs a gamemode and youtuber to get it going.

On this note, if anyone has any experience building servers and interested in this project let me know!

I started with server stuff around the end of 2019 and stopped around 2022 and come back here everyone and awhile to see how its going. Felt like I should respond to this as I've created and staffed on 4+ HCF servers.

HCF at least not at all. It's not really what you want to hear I'm sure, but there's no way you can create a successful HCF server today for these reasons:

• The community is so bad, you will have people targeting you like crazy no matter if your a good person or not. And I mean you as the owner, staff members for the server, and even players. Some people have no life and will do anything to personally attack you because of a block game.
• It's not a easy gamemode for newer players. The gamemodes hard to learn and with todays world getting them to sit down and take the time to learn it is hard.
• Minecraft has a huge cheating problem (especially HCF) so they will have no chance to survive.
• Now adays peoples attention spans are so short you need some sort of hook and I can't think of anything for that besides overwhelming the player will free items on join. HCF by default just doesn't have that.

The HCF youtubers have their numbers slowly going down and they know it (but no disrespect to them I'm sure its hard). They charge a hefty amount for a partnership let alone a video.

Yeah, that is what I have seen as well Al3xWarrior I appreciate the feedback. Its super disappointing to see especially as the complexity is what made it so amazing, but I totally agree.
