Questions regarding 1.12.2 Factions

first off is a faction server on 1.12.2 a no no?

Should I disable shields?

Should I convert back to 1.8 pvp?

Is there anything I should know regarding 1.12.2 and factions? Suggestions?

I don't recommend making a faction server if you don't know how to make it.
Anyways, every faction player plays on 1.7 - 1.8.
Players like it to be Semi-Custom, however if it changes the game to much, it might make them leave

Mmmm I’ve just recently been apart of a 1.8.8 factions server. I’ve learned quite a bit from it. Thanks for your suggestions and input

To the above questions, I would disable shields and make pvp 1.8 because 1.12.2 pvp is trash.
