MPServ is worth the money. Best host I've ever used by far. (Sorry Liam1 ! :p)

I got 2 min ticket response time by a real person and the control panel is amazing, and so is the performance.

Whoa... wow, there's a lot of stuff wrong up there! I know it's cool to hate MCPH, but let's get the information right! You might wanna read through this little FAQ I wrote up a while ago when I was in between jobs. (hm, looks like formatting get screwed up at some point). tl;dr is:

  • Clock speed doesn't matter for shit. It's sometimes useful for comparison for processors within the same tier in the same series, but even then it's not a good indicator.
  • MCPH does indeed use a heavily modified Multicraft panel and daemon, no sure on what basis you "promise" that's not the case. Anyhow that's of secondary importance to:
  • Your entire section about "cores" is just plain wrong. Multicraft does not get in the way of "utilizing each core". Essentially it's a Python application which ferries traffic between a network API and stdio of the Java processes. It doesn't restrict threading at all, and for more information about the use of threading in Minecraft servers see the FAQ I linked above.
Note: not claiming here that MCPH uses the best CPUs or is the most magical wonderful host or blah blah blah, I'm not a marketing guy and had to look up the specs for this post. Just correcting some wrong information, so... don't take it personally, don't rage, we're all cool here :p

MCPH sucks. Back when my cousin owned a server with them, i think it was 2 gigs with a small player base. The lag was horrible, everyone complained. For a small player base and for them to have a good processors we never expected it. The server was a basic factions server, by basic, i mean very basic. At the time we were both "noobs" at that field. If I had the knowledge now that I didn't have then, i feel his server would still be up, as seeing now i can code and know how to grow a server much better then what he did. Soon later he switched to qualitynode, at 7$/gig and had no lag. My ms was around 40, and his was around 60, and there was never any FPS drops. I think the average ms was 50-80ms, but there wasn't any European players. My cousins server improved slightly during that transition, because one of there workers will help configure com figs correctly, and if the issue gets worse, he will come on your server to help, or atleast he did for my cousin. This helped my cousins server grow a bit, but with poor money management came his server going down. After that i gained coding knowledge and learned some common sense with server management.

~ Just my rant.

I did pretty much say I work for them, and it says it on my Twitter and Github accounts linked in my signature... the "not biased" part was sarcasm... I thought you already knew that, perhaps I should have made it more explicit :p

Anyway, props for the ad hominem.

This is what MC-Admin is used for, MC-Market is sales.

Zach, stop being a cunt. We know you hate Connor because he didn't want to work on your project. The E5 2620 is actually very good, the only difference between the v1 and v2 is power consumption, which doesn't matter for MCPH because they rent. You're just spewing bullshit, and making yourself look stupid. You're only barely correct in the clock speed department. Clock speed DOES matter if you're running a massive server, but MCPH is a shared host, and doesn't need a high clock, just lots of cores, network, storage, and RAM.
Seems like you're either a very good friend of connors or just Connor as an Alt. Hehehe, I'm sorry but meh :D
