Quick Custom Plugin Help

My Developer has made a custom chat plugin for me but it currently is not working
We believe the issue is that he exported it with Java 8 but my host runs Java 7
He left for a few days though so could someone quickly help me make it work?
(I tried to do it myself but i dont speak code)

Want me to test it out for you on my server? I run 1.9.2 java 8

I already am testing it on my server which is 1.8.8
I just need someone to fix it
