Hey, I'm Brandon, mostly known as Zadnik.
I'm the owner of SycoMC, and I'd like to just give you guys a couple tips and tricks when finding youtubers for your server.
Keep in mind, this is my opinion and I'm not trying to bash non-english youtubers however if you are an english server I would not recommend hiring one.
If you want me to add anything, just PM or post below.
I'm the owner of SycoMC, and I'd like to just give you guys a couple tips and tricks when finding youtubers for your server.
- If you have a generic faction server, do not get small youtubers to play on them, players will not stay unless there is something really special about your server.
- Only ever consider getting a non-english speaking youtuber if you have a minigames server/network. Why? Non-english youtubers will bring players who will not speak english and will not stay, unless the youtuber is doing a series or regularly doing live streams, etc.
- If you do get a non-english youtuber regularly, and you were hoping for an english playerbase, you will NOT get one, I repeat you will NOT get one. You might get 50 or so people on while they are recording, when they are off maybe 20~ however when they stop making videos on your server they will all leave.
- Why can't I get these youtubers on my survival, creative, factions server? Because they are not english, they will not stay, and they cannot be moderated. I understand all of the youtubers tell the viewers to speak english, but it doesn't cut it, most of them don't even know english, and what are the chances a Youtuber that doesn't speak english have an english subscriber base?
- Trailers, trailers in my opinion are near pointless, you pay $10 for a youtuber to upload it to there channel, and the viewers on there channel most of the time do not watch it. The most views I've seen on a trailer is about 500, with all other videos getting 2K plus views.
- Do not get any type of youtuber that doesn't usually play your gamemode, such as Creative worlds. If you hire a HCF youtuber with around 15,000subscribers to make a few videos on your server most of the people watching aren't going to want to join, and even if they do join it's not likely they are going to stay.
- Non-english livestreams can be a very very bad investment for your server, although you get 40-100 players on WHILE THEY ARE STREAMING, as soon as they finish most to all of the players leave. Also, I've had experience where the streamer, as soon as they finish they go on another server, such as Hypixel and ALL of there viewers just go with them to get a chance to play with them.
- Never get livestreams if you are getting a non-english youtuber. Always get episodes if you are considering getting non-english youtuber. Why? Because people will leave almost straight after the livestream finished. With episodes, you actually have a chance of players staying and liking your server.
Keep in mind, this is my opinion and I'm not trying to bash non-english youtubers however if you are an english server I would not recommend hiring one.
