Quick Paypal Question

Hey!

I've been using my mom's paypal account for online transactions (with her approval ofc ;)) however I'am looking to create my own for my own sake and make transactions smoother and such. However I noticed the minimum age for Paypal is 18 however a lot of people under 18 have Paypal accounts. How does that work? Also does VCC work on paypal?

I mean it is not that hard. If there is any information that asks for an age requirement then just answer as 18 or older and if you are using an email just make sure the date of birth is 18+. As for VCC's... they work completely fine, but only give partial Paypal verification. For full verification you must link a bank account.

Well, likely the people who are under the age requirement will get their paypal account taken away with any money in it.

Just set your age to 18, then if your account gets locked then contact PayPal or send in the correct information to them and your account shouldn't ever be locked again. Also add a picture of your face to the profile, my Mom's PayPal never got locked and she never verified anything.

From my experience with paypal, if you make an account as <18 person without verifying your age with identity documents, you're fine until you make approx 2500 euro (or equivalent) in a year. Then you NEED to send in documents verifying your age, and your account will be perma-locked because you weren't 18 upon making it. That's how it happened to me.
This may be a Europe-only thing though, it has something to do with anti tax evasion laws.
