Quick Question for all MCM builders.

Hello,

I was confronted earlier by a user proclaiming to sell a custom spawn for a server, this user commented on a thread of mine. However, upon asking for proof he built the spawn, he answered me with " Like a picture with my skin? " I kindly said No, i would like proof you built this spawn before investing money into it, he proceeded to respond, nobody wastes their time taking pictures of small builds like hubs and spawns, keep in mind this spawn was 150x150.

With this background information, my question is, How many of the builders actually take pictures of their builds so that potential buyers know you built it? Was it just this one guy who said nobody does it or does nobody actually record and screenshot evidence of them building the stuff they are selling to users?​

I don't see the majority of builders do this beforehand, but they usually do if asked to.

If I am building a custom build for a user I always show proof if it is something I am selling on MCM thread I never put proof but I do normally take some screenies just for those people who always want proof. I do feel once a builder like Ivain, Victhetiger or me we have sold enough things to really not need to provide proof.

Okay, I understand that 100%. Once you get enough recognition proof becomes less prevalent. However I believe this particular user had less than 50 reactions. Which raised a caution flag for me. Thanks for your reply!

Yeah, I appreciate your response again. Users have gotten smart where they change it up and you won't realize it or don't check before purchasing just to find out a couple months later it was not custom and you wasted your money. It happened to me unfortunately so that is why I am so hesitant now to purchase without proof.

If let's say I got a commission for a small 50x50 hub.
I am building it. The guy asks me for proof. Yes, I always give proof of builds beforehand and afterwards.
Most of the time, I upload it to my Build Team's thread on MCM, or show the guy on skype by screensharing. Some people may want to watch you building it!
