Quick Ubuntu Setup

I am not looking for anything crazy, I just want my existing Ubuntu server which has a clean install on it to have:
- vsftp or another equivalent ftp package

And give me instructions on how to change that ftp password as well.

You can use SFTP, which is SSH with FTP capabilities, it should work by default on your VPS.
Just use your VPS login details and your SSH port (22 by default) when connecting in your FTP client.
