So I get my Raspberry Pi today in the afternoon. What shall I use it for? I want to write some scripts for it to run 24/7. Mainly things that will be useful to me? Please give me some ideas on what you would use it for and maybe you'll inspire me! Thanks!

This sounds interesting! I am curious to see what people come up with! How much did you pay on yours? And what are its specs?

How I used my Raspberry Pi as a Storage Server, since it has low power consumption you can leave it on 24/7. Buy a USB Hub, connect multiple/however many needed hard drives in a hard drive enclosure to the hub, setup/install Samba Server. Volla you now have network storage,.

I run a DNS server on my Pi which acts as an adblocker :)
