Seph's text tutorials are really nice, but extremely overused. You can't just copy someones style, because what you want to do is make your own style that no one else can be better than you at. Seph is just showing his own style in the tutorial, which in my opinion no one can beat. It's very nice for starting out, but you need to branch out to your own style and experiment a bit more

iw wasnt going to use it as my own style. was just testing it out and gathering tips. but i agree with you that tutorials and certain styles are over used :/

Looks really cool! The next step is exploring whatever software you're using on your own. Experimenting. Know what it's capabilities are. Don't try to make something. Just mess around. Honestly, it's the best way to learn something completely new.
