For 1080p, I can see the graphics card holding up for about 2 years max while some modern games are already going to be pushing that rx 470 to its limit. Rather than upgrading the graphics card right away, use it for about a week and see how it holds up in the games you play. I don't play fortnight but given the playerbase it shouldn't be that demanding. Haven't heard of the other game you mention. The ram speed could be better but it's okay. Probably not worth upgrading unless you have like $90 to burn on non-rgb ram. I'd put money first into a crucial mx500 500gb which can run for a bit above $50 after using a Google express monthly new user code. If the graphics card doesn't give you the frames you want, I'd look for a used 1070 personally but if you want new, I'd go for a 1660ti. I'd argue a 2060 is overkill for a 1080p display unless you really want raytracing which is going to be available for all 10 and 16 series cards in April anyway.

How much are you paying for it?

AMD RYZEN 5 2600 6Core CPU

Overclocked to: 4.1ghz

6core/12threads HYPERTHREADING

MSI B450m GAMING PLUS motherboard

16GB High Speed Gaming DDR4 RAM

180GB Intel M.2 SSD

SAPHIRE RX 470 4gb NITRO OC Edition video graphics card (equal to a GTX1060 3GB in performance)

6X ADDRESSABLE RGB LED FANS with remote control

600w EVGA power supply

Deepcool case with front tempered glass and side tempered glass
if you've got the cash, I'd recommend upgrading that 470 to a RX590 or a GTX1660ti. No need to upgrade your motheboard either, b450s are just fine for budget builds (they're not "old", just a lower tier model that handles most tasks just fine, unless you need the features, don't waste your $$ on an X470). I'd also wait and see what AMD announces w/ Ryzen 3000, leaks are insanely crazy values.

P.S - m.2 can mean both SATA and NVMe, which one is yours?

If you have any other questions, feel free to msg me on discord, david#0101

At that price, you're pretty much of getting what you pay for from the quick mock-up I made on pcpartpicker. For 1080p, assuming you don't want to keep waiting, I'd consider it and probably upgrade to a 1660ti in a year or a used 1070 now if you don't get the frames you want in games currently. Last I checked, 1070s ran for around $200 through the trade-off is possibly needing to redo the thermal paste which isn't actually that bad but due to your lack of experience and not wanting to break anything, I'd just get the new card.
Having gamed on a 1050ti, below a 1060 3GB, I tended to notice that it was okay for my needs as far as 1080p goes as I didn't play too many AAA games back then. Recently I upgraded to 1440p 144hz and found myself wanting to play more AAA games so I got a gtx 1080. I think the same use case applies to you if you do go with this system. Use what you got now and if you find yourself wanting more frames, upgrade the graphics card to a 1660ti or used 1070.
