Re-implement the business account system.

I believe that we should re-implement the business account system to a system similar to the HootSuite social media system.

What can be implemented:

• Permissions. The business account owner can set permissions for the other users utilizing the business account. The permissions could include: Only allowing to post on the original sales thread, permission to post on threads with the Requesting tag, only can post on a certain forum (Hosting for example), etcetera.
• Manual approval of posts. This feature can be very useful if you have just added a new user to use the account, and can even filter out low quality posts by others utilizing the business account.
• Thread/post assigning. This can be useful to avoid double posting.
• Unified login. Directly login from your personal account, or add another password to the business account if the other user does not have a personal account. This can reduce the risks of handing the actual password to a new user of the business account.

Pros:

• More secure
• Can prevent trolls, and LQ/off topic posts

Cons:

• May be expensive to implement as there is no addon that does this.

I do not believe business accounts are needed at all, why not just use your personal account?

A business account can be useful if you have multiple sales reps in your business, or, in general, to look more professional with your business. Thanks for stating your opinion, though.

So what you're asking here is:

• Recreate a entire new permission system on XenForo.
• 2 & 3. Redo how XenForo handles posts.
• Heavily modify XenForo's login system.

This is a heavy con. Something like this could cost thousands and really isn't worth it.
I don't think we've had a single case where the owner had his business account stolen so doing the authentication is thing is pretty pointless too.

I don't think we've had a single case where the owner had his business account stolen so doing the authentication is thing is pretty pointless too.

It is unfortunate I must admit so. Although the authentication would be immensely useful as scammers arise around the community.

I also forgot to mention. A multi user system with sub accounts is being worked on.

This idea is impossible. It requires so many core changes and custom development that only the creators of xenforo can do this(I think). If a developer can he will ask more than thousand dollars.

Cash flow will still be a problem. It could be years before those many thousands of dollars are made back, if they even are.
you'd need hundreds people making business accounts and buying said accounts premium when they otherwise would not buy premium to offset the costs.

I've noticed many disagreers has not stated their reason to disagree. From now on, I'll count that as a misclick for Agree until reasoning is provided.

By that logic, all Agrees by members who have not provided a reason are misclicks for Disagree. Seems like you have more Disagrees than Agrees now.
