NOTE: Actually Read this and don't just disagree with it right away.

Hi, my name is Dynshot (Toxiic/Luve)
Today I am going to discuss an idea that might seem like i'm mentally retarded but might work out better in the end.

Recently a lot of people have been quitting Minecraft (including me somewhat) I haven't actually "played" the game in a while, I've been doing it for marketing really. Anyways as you know. There are still a lot of people in the Minecraft Community, not as much as before.

I think that MCM should change there name and remove the "Minecraft" in it. Here are some of my reasons.

- This will bring more people to MCM that are not interested really in Minecraft but might be interested in Domains, Steam Accounts, etc.

- This should be more focused on Steam Accounts in My Opinion. Why? A lot of people are going to disagree with me on this but here's and idea. Steam is the fastest growing digital distribution platform on the internet. In 2013, Steam had 69 Million Users, 24 Months Later it doubled to 125 Million Accounts. It is growing very rapidly. That was the last time Valve announced how many accounts there were and they probably have over 2 Million now. All my friends who play Xbox are slowly switching to PC.

- There are many ways to argue that fact "People make usually more than one steam account" true, but not all. About 1,000,000 people play Minecraft per day. Out of 2 Years only 36,000 people from the community have been on this website and there are 24,000,000 total minecraft accounts. Steam, well, they have a LOT more accounts online daily.

- Well this is sort of a part 2 of the last point. Steam has usually 11,000,000 everyday around 1PM. Minecraft has only had 1,000,000 Users on at once and that was January 2015 (After Christmas). Steam has this many DAILY and can be more beneficial to MCM.

- Minecraft is Dying

- Steam is Growing at a TREMENDOUS rate and here is how.

As you can see that Minecraft is dying and Steam is rising.

- This just does not include steam, it should involve Xbox Accounts, Playstation Accounts, Investments, Websites, Looking for Development for actual websites and not Minecraft Servers. People who need resources for making something but can't afford professional resources.

Most likely will get a lot of X's but tell me what your opinion is.
(NOTE: I am not saying to get rid of the Minecraft of the forum but to remove Minecraft from the name of the site)

MC-Market will still thrive even if Minecraft dies. The Steam accounts, other accounts, etc, will keep the MCM community surviving. I feel that MCM has got a name for itself, being called MCM.

Minecraft is dying tho
See, your logic makes no sense. If every single market in the world always ajusted to the most popular, then the supply/demand would go way out of balance.

See, Minecraft markets will always have a demand, if all Minecraft markets switch to another, there will be a whole open market, ready for the taking. Especially with MC-Markets current position of let's say the low figure of around 70% of the supply. Why in the world, if other Minecraft markets where to do as you say, the demand would still stay the same, but MC-Markets market share would rise. MCM is in such a good position atm. They have a huge market share, and changing from a 70% market share in Minecraft to a 5% market share in Steam is a stupid idea. And 5% is a high figure.

Let's give some real life, made up examples: Strategy games have been loosing demand very slowly over the last couple years, all strategy game makers switch to making FPS games instead. There would still be a demand, just no supplu. If 1 game maker where to make a strategy game, they would sweep up almost 100% of that demand. And that is the position of MCM. If no one moves, MCM is in a good position. If everyone except MCM moves, MCM is in a better position. If MCM moves, MCM gives away almost all its market share, and some other MCM competitor sweeps up all the market share.

Your idea is stupid, and you have no idea what you're talking about.

EVEN if Minecraft was dying. Sweeping up that sweet (low figure) 70% of the market is a great deal.

The game does have its ups and downs in sales however, everything does. Minecraft had approximately 6,870 sales in the past 24 hours, back in February when the 1.9 combat update released they were getting roughly 10,00 sales hourly. The way I see it, people may or may not like the updates but minecraft will continue to get sales, grow, and have a community. I am not saying that the community will always stay the same, but the community will always be there. Of course the pvp update took a tole on the pvp community but it also brought in so many new users that could potentially be the next big thing in the community.

Even after reading it it's a senseless suggestion. Just because there's other markets out there than minecraft does not mean we should go through the costly, arduous and likely fruitless process of rebranding the site.

This has to be the most retarded post ever.

I joined mcm for minecraft sales.
I'm pretty sure mcm was created mainly for minecraft sales.
It should stay that way.
