A lot of people ask me about Slots.

This is my response to everyone seeking out to buy a slot and how to make great use of your slot. I made a ton of these mistakes when owning a server with Paradise. We owned Play.Reckless-MC.com. This server was quite a success, ranging at 10-30 players on at all times. We purchased 3 hours of MC-MP slot. This was the worst investment of my life. I spent around $175 on all 3 hours total. I will tell you how it went.

1. We purchased all of the slots. ( In our minds we where thinking, time for a ton of players to come on! )
A few notes:
We had a 16 GB multicraft panel owned thru Errota's host-atom.
Before expecting to get players from a slot, have some good hardware that will put up a fight
to lag. We should've had a dedi, but our server didn't get much lag during the 3 hours.
At this time, we had bungee setup with a lobby and factions, planning on opening skyblock a
few days later. Having the lobby was a bad idea. The animated banner we had was a bit trash
as it was only $8 from woodypunches gfx.
2. a few people joined. Was going alright. They looked around the lobby, but had no clue how to type /server, right click the compass or walk into the only portal which was in front of
them.. most of the people who join your server will be noobs and have no clue what they are
doing. Thinking about it now, you probably should have something setup like YayMc's lobby
where it automatically opens a gui on where you want to go. Its an amazing setup yaymc has
3. Was it worth it? Not worth $175. If I where you, I'd go for a youtuber, but if you want go
with a slot, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE PREPARED.

• Slots are ALWAYS a risk
• Pick you site & time to match you budget
• Try not to close the server during slots as it could heavily impact playerbase

We gained around 200 player joins, only around 20 stayed for 24 hours, and around 5 stayed for a long time.

Yes. The lag was horrible. Go with a dedi.
