I'm considering starting a major in Computer Science, I've always been very interested in Java and learning about it so one day I can make my own resources and post them on here for people to enjoy. I love the content that I see on Spigot and I am incredibly impressed with what people are able to create with Java. I consider myself very creative and one day plan on being just like the developers on this website :) PLEASE! If anyone can give me some beginner's advice other than just the books, feel free. I will never turn down free advice.
TIA

If you're looking to going into Computer Science - Think about what you want to do with it. Although Minecraft resources are a way to do things, Python is a lot more useful for data structures and automation, web development, etc. If ALL you want to learn programming for is the minecraft resources, I'd go for Java, but if you want to get into app creation, automation, AI's, etc., I'd do Python, C, C#, or C++. GL!

This is a really good starting point provided by Spigot... https://www.spigotmc.org/wiki/spigot-plugin-development/
