Recovering an account

Recently I got scammed out of a Semi OG with an OptiFine cape called 'Sets' It was off-site so 'Assaholic' can't get banned or anything and I did it because I no longer wanted to play Minecraft or anything to do with the account but I remembered I needed it for something and he changed the email password, added 2 step verification with a backup email, phone, and phone number. He also changed the email on the account, and he also changed the Minecraft name and removed the cape from it so I'm lost and there is no way I am able to get it back, if anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated or if anyone has an account I am able to play on.

Edit: I just want to know if there is anything I can do to get it back or is it gone

Well in steam you could provide transaction id and punch of other info that someone that basically hijacked your account cannot get to recover your account. I don't know about mojang, but just simply having access to the transaction id and the original email should provide evidence to atleast fight for the account.

I could have put a little more detail you guys got confused because I said it was off-site but he’s registered so it doesn’t matter anymore, anyways it wasn’t even him the account is gone because he tried to sell it.
