Recruit Active and trustful members as chat moderators / staff

Hello MC-Market users, with the recent demotion of some inactive staff I feel it's the perfect time to make this suggestion, I would like to suggest a form of a application process and an interview stage of said process, how would this work (in my view) as below.


Trusted Member of MC-Market creates a decient application.

A Manager / Admin / Owner will review it and if liked the applicant could be pulled for a interview, if applicant fails to meet the standers during the interview his/her application would be put into denied area, and said user will need to wait a set duration before applying once more.

if trusted member is accepted thought the interview then he would go for a "grace" period to prove his moderation skills first hand.

I'm a Server owner of a smallish Minecraft HCF Community, and I love assisting users myself however I don't believe I should have a shot at a staff rank on MC-Market due to my repuation, however I do feel this Suggestion/Idea could maybe bring back some "livly hood" to the fourms.

I personally feel that whoever is in charge of recruitment has their own way of looking for staff. I don't think applications are always the best option as so many people would apply and perhaps not really think of how hard it is to be a staff member. I think it is best that the recruitment team chooses new staff based on activity and many other factors.

We already have applications set up.
They were very successful when we last ran them. Now that the four new staff members that we promoted in October no longer need to be given so much of higher staff’s time and attention, we have absolutely every intention of opening up applications again.

An announcement will be made as soon as this is done, along with all of our other changes.

I'm aware of this being a reacuring topic however, it is a important one, and I feel it needs to be addressed is all.

I am quite content with our current system for staff recruitment. Adding interviews and other steps to the process seems like it'll just waste time without adding anything for us to make a decision off of. A user's posts and overall presentation of themselves on the forum is all our community are going to see if they are promoted, so that's what we base our decision off.
