Hello, thank you for taking the time to check out this post. My name is Harrison and I’m looking to build a staff team for my new network. Here is some information on the network:
- We are planning to release as a factions server and branch out to more gamemodes in the coming months
- We have been in development for 4 months
- We have spent countless hours designing brand new features for factions that have not been seen before
- We have worked with various factions players to create gameplay that exceeds the standards of the factions community
- The server has a high-budget and we are making sure to avoid cutting any corners
We are planning to release the server during the first week of May and we are on the final stretch. My co-owner (Jenovesan) and I are just working out the final details before release. Since we have around a month left before Beta, we decided now was the best time to look for staff so that we have an adequate amount of time to acclimate them with our systems.
Before I get into the positions we are looking for, I want to establish the state of our community. Jenovesan and I both really enjoy the factions community and we want to create a network that is actually fun to play, not a network that is looking to squeeze money out of every player. With this aside, we want our staff to have the same mindset. We are looking for people who truly care about factions and want to create a fair and genuine community. In addition to this, we are looking for staff who can engage with the community in a good manner and act as role-models. If our staff can set a good image for the server, players will feel confident and happy to play.
Now moving on to positions, we are looking for two categories of staff.
First, we are looking for an admin. For beta release we would like to have at least one admin to help facilitate the server. We are looking for:
- Someone willing to put in a lot of time
- Someone willing to be fully dedicated to the server and help with anything necessary
- Someone who has had experience in managing servers
- Someone who is very familiar with factions and how to properly handle situations (must have played competitive factions within the last year)
- Someone who is confident in a leadership position
- Someone who is willing to mentor other staff
- Any timezone works
As an admin of the server you will play a very large role in the server’s image, therefore we are looking for people who satisfy the above requirements and strive to make a positive impact on the network. With that aside, this is a paid position, but that should not impact your choice to be on the team. I previously stated we are looking for just one admin, but if we get multiple applications that suit the role perfectly, we are willing to bring 2 admins onto the team.
The second group we are looking for is the remaining staff (helpers, moderators, sr.moderators). These roles still have the same conditions. We are looking for people who really enjoy factions and want to build a community that is fair and genuine. The difference between these roles and the admin position is simply time and a few less requirements. If you feel like you could only offer a medium amount of time for the server but you still want to help out and build this community, a helper or moderator position might be right for you. If you apply for these roles, you would either start as a helper or moderator depending on the amount of time and previous experience you have. For these roles we are looking for:
- Someone willing to put in a decent amount of time
- Someone willing to be fully dedicated to the server
- Someone who is very familiar with factions and how to properly handle situations (must have played competitive factions within the last year)
- Someone who is confident in a leadership position
- Any timezone works
For Sr.moderators, we are looking for all the above requirements, but specifically someone who has extensive knowledge in regards to screen sharing. Specifically, we want someone who has staffed on a competitive factions or HCF server.
These three roles would be less work than an admin, while still having an active position in the server’s affairs. Of course, these positions are not permanent and as time moves on, staff would be able to be promoted up to admin. These positions are not paid but this should not influence any decisions. We are looking for people who are dedicated to this community.
