Reduce Lag for 300-500 Players

(Also I heard a lot of people complaining about chunks not being preloaded? What’s does that mean and how do I fix it)

It means, the chunks are brand new and no one explored it. Meaning, when someone explores it, the chunk loads for the first time.

How would I fix this?

Loading in chunks, reducing entities - that type of thing will help a lot to reduce lag.

You usually use a plugin called "WorldBorder" to preload chunks. The point of it is to reduce lag by not having any chunks generated for the first time. That being said, it doesn't really make sense to preload chunks on a production server since it'll just lag the server even more.
