30s cooldown.png

I get that there are bots or whatever but for people who prefer or deal on-site we can't have a normal human conversation while waiting 30 seconds to talk..

I suggest you reduce this to like 5 or 10 seconds

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

This feature works well for public forum posts, but I agree it’s a bit long for DMs. Perhaps if we could have a separate cool down time for conversation posts, that would work better.

Don't really like this much for public forum posts either, but
Realistically, a 10 second cooldown would be fine IMO (especially since we haven't had many spam bots)

Isn’t really spam bots being the problem but rather people’s browsers not processing JavaScript correctly sometimes allowing them to spam the post button.

Why not set it to 5-10 seconds then? Not sure about anyone else, but I've never double-posted with 5 seconds between as far as I know.

Thing is, it's really irritating when you can't reply, and you just have to wait... and wait... and wait.. for those annoying 30 seconds. And that's after EVERY message[DOUBLEPOST=1572556862][/DOUBLEPOST]Even for public forums, 30 seconds is a bit too long, 10 seconds or MAX 15 is good

The cooldown increase was meant for forum posts. I’ve decreased it down to 10 until we can get a separate setting for conversation messages.

As Justis has said, the limit has been lowered back down to a much more reasonable 10 seconds.

I'll move this to accepted, thanks for the suggestion
