my guy i know that its true, 1.14 is a necessary rule because it filters out irrelevant content. i hate to say it but if we dont know you, we dont care if you have a goodbye thread. if we do know you, then you should have just messaged us directly instead of making it public (not saying you have a thread, just saying 'you' as an example)

If you would like to say goodbye to your friends if you're leaving the forum, then send them a DM and speak about it with them there.

Before we had that rule we had users creating a thread every month or two saying that they were leaving because they were having issues but then always coming back. It's attention seeking and unnecessary and gets spammy fast.
