Remove Ability to Private Profile

Heya.

I think the privating your profile option should be removed, as it could easily prevent scams. Generally, privating your profile means you have something to hide or some other reason such as devouches, etc.. I see no reason why to have this, because if you don't like people from posting on your profile there is a separate option for that.

What kind of privacy? Everything that's on your profile can be found without having to view the profile. It's just a lot harder to do.

There's nothing about privacy in this - this is a marketplace not instagram. People name themselves shit like FemaleDog123 and buy avatars to represent their block game skins. I could understand if it was actually like facebook, and you actually had something personal, but 99% of the users don't.

You're NOT protecting your privacy by hiding your profile. Here's why

- Want to hide your posts/threads? Too bad, you can use the site's search function to see them all.
- Want to prevent people from repping you? Too bad, people can rep you, even with a hidden profile

The only thing you're hiding is your recent activity. That can partly be found out using the search feature

So unless you have a reason to hide your medals or your reaction breakdown, this feature is fairly useless and should be removed.

Mick this can be done without custom development by executing a simple database query and removing the dropdown from the template file.

If you don't want to get scammed don't do deals with a user who has a private profile, having the option deleted is not a good thing as some people want the privacy.

My profile is private, and I keep it private simply because I like to allow only friends etc to view my profile. Yes, this may be a public forum but I see no need for removing this when we can still add, and view, rep by clicking the % button in the modal. See the below screenshot:

Ah, I didn't know you could do that. Thanks for pointing it out.

EDIT: I believe, however, that there should be a more accessible way to add reputation all together when it comes to privatized users. Many new members may be confused about adding reputation (I realize it's an unlikely situation, but there's no harm in looking into it).
