I understand why removing them from the list is becoming more and more necessary (more and more people are getting banned.) However, it’s up to the staff to decide whether or not they want to potentially remove history that was made on here. Even though the user is banned, they still set a record. Maybe some users should beat them so we no longer have to see them on the top chatter page.
Personally, while I can fully understand why you’d want this, I don’t feel that it should be done. Regardless of a ban, those users (as Sloth said) made it on the list fair and square— even though they are no longer welcome on the site, that’s history. Other users upcoming on the Top Chatters list will have an advantage on them anyway; those who are banned can no longer send new messages.
It seems appealing to just remove them, but the way I see it, we should also consider that the top chatters list would mean less if it was filtered- even if the filter is only in place on banned members.
Also good to remember, in some cases, the banned member may become unbanned in the future.
They're removed from top messages/points/likes, so I see no reason they shouldn't be removed from shoutbox leaderboards as well. If this suggestion is rejected, they should be added back to top messages/points/likes.
Doing this would require custom development, and considering it is a feature that isn't even necessary to begin with I don't see a reason to do it. Eventually banned members will be overtaken by unbanned members, and once that happens the problem should solve itself naturally.
Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
