Remove banned user's ratings

So if a person is banned. We should remove his/her rating from other peoples post/thread. One reason we should do this is because one guy can just create multiple accounts, use them to farm ratings and rate all of <user>'s post/thread and his/her rating count will be a higher amount and we don't want that.

If there was an existing suggestion thread similar to this, I'm sorry and just ignore the thread.

I don't really understand why we would. People on MCM care a lot about their reactions they've received. Just because someone is banned it doesn't mean that the reactions they've given are invalid.

If someone creates new accounts to spam themselves with reactions, which is very rare, then we can just handle that by removing the reactions.

Reputation and reactions do not mean the same thing, they represent different things entirely, and should be regarded differently.
A users' reputation is the reflection of the community's collective opinions of that member; and every user who's left a reputation on them is weighted equally.
Those who are banned are no longer a part of this community, and their opinions; their judgement, which got them banned, is not an accurate or reliable reflection.

Reactions aren't reputation. They are the literal reactions to a post by the people who have read it.
There's no reason to remove them, as they don't count for anything that could become corrupted, nor do they need to be kept up-to-date with the community of current.
This suggestion benefits nobody.

While I agree this suggestion provides no benefit.. I think freaking out over a banned 'skid' as you called them, getting their reaction from your post removed, is a bit much.

This is how reputation given by banned members should be treated as well. Just because they got banned does not mean that the reputation they've left is invalid (unless of course it's totally fake/stupid). I don't know why we're removing reputation left from them.

Reactions just genuinely don't matter and there's no reason why removing ones given by banned members would benefit anyone.
