A while ago I noticed that BucketOfSloths had recently sold the account "haha" that he stickied to the top of the OG section. When it was sold, it had the sold thread prefix but it was still stickied, taking up room and wasn't removed until a week after it was put up.

I suggest that when a thread is placed under any prefix like "Sold" or "Completed", it"s removed from the sticky thread section as it no longer needs to be there, clearing up room.
Another alternative is to allow staff to trash the thread thats on the sticky section once its marked as sold or the creator of the thread allows it to be removed.

Leave your thoughts down below.

I got 1 winner rating while it was stickied while sold! Worth the $3.50.

But, it wouldn’t exactly be fair to take paid time away even if the account is sold. At least not without compensating the advertiser for lost time.
Thats how Mick makes his money, Its your decision and your gamble to see how fast your item sells while the thread is stickied, and when you sell something, you do make money anyways.[DOUBLEPOST=1519747524][/DOUBLEPOST]
Specify this idea.

This is up to the buyer of said slots. You pay for the slot for the time, not for your service to be promoted by the site. It is up to you to keep the thread alive, however if you don't need the sticky you should just cancel it at that point.

The point is, you paid for your time, you keep your time. This shouldn't turn into a problem for the staff regarding whether or not you want partial compensation or not.

It's like getting a newspaper ad, and then requesting a refund after it gets printed. It's really just kind of dumb.

You pay for either one, or a set amount of weeks. If you only purchase one week, and it takes 3 days to sell, then cool, you sold it. If it's not worth buying a sticky to sell then don't.

It's on you if you advertise your OG for 4 weeks and sell in a little less than a week. I'm sure you could contact support then, however you bought it knowing full-well you might need it that long.

If your not providing a service it's not really worth more than a week per payment tbh.

"Good Business Practice" Involves providing a service to your customers at a fair price, and being timely, and understanding in response to any inquiries by your customer.

Good business practice is NOT: Giving someone a refund on a service halfway through because they overestimated how much they needed by a few days.

If you were weeks ahead of your next payment, and you no longer needed the service I'm sure this could be handled with a simple support request. What I'm saying is that if you want to be reimbursed for a few days on a weeklong ad it is impractical as this could be easily exploited, and abused to waste the time of the people managing this.

Good Business Practice does not include pandering to your customers each and every demand.

Mick needs to make money to keep the site up and pay the STAFF of mcm and the developer, ( the rest goes into his pocket he is rich asf HEH ) well it will be kinda unfair even if it is sold people has paid for this spot so why not keep it up?
if they'd want it gone they'd contact one of the staff members in MCM simple.

Its for the other members that want to sticky their own thread, Im not saying they cant do that, Im saying it takes up room and could possibly decrease sales if theres a big green SOLD tag on a thread that doesnt need to be there. It may seem like bullshit but its true sometimes

When its sold it no longer needs to be there.
No member should get compensation if they end up selling the item only 3 days after the thread was stickied, for example.
Tristan M. explained some points well
