I know it just got added but I don't see any suggestion threads related to this.
Here's my 2 cents.
Firstly, why? The default XF search engine works just fine and many addons the site has integrate with it unlike with threadloom. A good example is Minecraft Assocation account search. In fact, it's actually a crucial part of this forum.
Styling is terrible. It just is. Too bulky, colors don't match, etc. Feel like no effort has been put in.
Functionality. "OMG Image searching is useful!". It's actually pointless on MCM since the majority of the images posted on here are hosted externally on Imgur, Prntscr, Gyazo, etc. Besides that, the default XF search engine has almost the same key functionality.
Overall, Threadloom is a step backwards instead of forward. You could argue that it has better performance but even that is a pointless argument. Threadloom becomes useful performance wise if you have a massive forum(comparable to IGN's forum size) where scalability is an absolute must as it could potentially save hundreds of dollars in terms of server costs. For now and the next 30mil posts, MCM doesn't need it imo.
