I don't understand what is wrong with him giving spotify accounts and getting rep in return. He is offering a free service that benefits the users of this community. After looking at his threads and dealing with him personally on multiple occasions I have concurred that he offers these services to all users, old and new. Reputation can be defined as the beliefs or opinions that are generally held about someone or something. If you have dealt with this user, for a spotify account or anything else and received the same treatment that I had, you would have probably left a positive reputation as well. Ridiculous to attack someone for being kind.

The fact that you can gain rep by giving free accounts and just being nice to everyone for a few messages is insane.

I took it upon myself to investigate this. The user in question is obviously breaking rules so I'm not sure why the staff hasn't gotten to this? I've just opened a support request which goes as following:

Rep rules state the following:

9.3 Do not hint, suggest, request, or imply in any way, a specific reputation rating upon yourself or another member.
9.4 Do not use reputation as a currency, reward, condition, incentive, threat or deterrent.

Recently, Spectrum got my attention for the crazy amount of reputation he has. Upon inspection, all appeared to be related to this thread where he gives away free spotify premium.

Now, I found it really suspicious that that many people would give him a positive rep. I was fairly certain that he was ASKING for it which is not allowed according to 9.3.

I decided to pretend that I needed a spotify account by posting in the thread. Shortly after, he pm'd me his discord username where we went through the setup process and where he gave me the premium. Additionally, he also asked for positive rep.

Conversation:

In my personal opinion, all these reputations should be removed. The user is obviously doing this to get reputation in return and I feel like this ruins the value of the reputation system.

Could you please let me know of the outcome?

My reputation clearly shows that I am indeed reputable when it comes to spotify accounts & malwarebytes keys and that my customer support service is great as a friendly member.

Yours shows that you're highly skilled at trailers and produce quality work; seems like everyone has been satisfied with them.
