Quantity is almost completely irrelevant. if someone has done 50+ deals involving $10 or less, they're not reliable for deals exceeding $50. If someone has done 10 deals involving $100 each, they're more reliable for large deals than the person who's done 50 tiny ones.
If you're so concerned with rep that you'll make a thread for it, here's my tip. Go for anyone with AT LEAST 10 rep, preferably more, and READ the rep. You can click on the number to read it. See if it gives you an idea of the sort of person you're about to do business with. Do some research yourself, instead of just looking at rep. If you don't have a good feeling about it, don't do it.
