Hear me out:

A lot of forums use a similar system; what they generally do is have ranks and people can give +1/+3 or -1/-3 rep, etc. This is not what I'm suggesting. What I am suggesting, however, is that we use the same representation.

Outline:
  1. Still keep the Pos/Neg/Neu boxes under.
  2. Use a value (+X or -X) instead of percentages.
Why?

Percentages are harder to interpret. A value (+X or -X) is easier to read. Neutral reputation doesn't affect the value, unlike with percentages.

Example:
Before:
34ad25.png

After:
b37d0f.png
Before:
7754ef.png

After:
223754.png

This is equivalent to Total reputation score, in details:
94fba6.png

The difference is, we'd use this mainly instead of the percentage. The percentage can/would be listed in the Rep stats on a person's profile.

I mean it isn't a super necessarily change simply because if you actually view someone's full Reputation Overview it shows it using an integer value, plus it wouldn't look aesthetically pleasing since the rating already uses a - (ex. "Rating - 100%" vs "Rating - +10")

I don't know about you guys, but I see one major flaw in this.
Let's say I have 28 positive rep and 15 negative rep, while someone else has 13 positive rep and 0 negative rep.
Both would show an equal amount of rep after the +/-'s have been calculated, but who are you most likely going to do business with? The one with no negative rep of course.

Percentage reputation
+28 pos and -15 pos would show as 65.11%
+13 pos and -0 pos would should as 100%

Integer reputation
+28 pos and -15 pos would show as +13 pos
+13 pos and -0 pos would show as +13 pos

I, myself, prefer the use of percentage reputation over integer rep because it's less confusing.

This isn't a needed addition. I see no "benefit" the community can get, but right now there are other things site management can focus on. They could add it when they rework the reputation system (if I'm right in believing that they are), but also, you can easily make two clicks to get the same exact thing you're requesting.
In fact, percentage I feel may be even better than integers because as aliensushi said,
Percentage reputation
+28 pos and -15 pos would show as 65.11%
+13 pos and -0 pos would should as 100%

Integer reputation
+28 pos and -15 pos would show as +13 pos
+13 pos and -0 pos would show as +13 pos

I, myself, prefer the use of percentage reputation over integer rep because it's less confusing.
Why make something that can be confusing? Say someone gave 50 free spotify upgrades, and then starts taking loans and exits, their reputation should be a percentage. Not +40 for example if they scammed 10 people.

This has been suggested in the past and I believe it was one of those previous suggestions that lead to the implementation, so I'll move this to denied.

Thanks for the suggestion.
