So as most of you know you can only give rep 3 times every 24 hours, this does get annoying at times as a lot of users do more then 3 trades/sales a day (past experience) and I was thinking maybe if the cooldown could be reduced to every 12 hours and maybe rising the reputation you can give out to 5? Just what I had in mind and wanted to make a post about but leave feedback of what you guys think as I really do want the reputation system/rules to be extended to of what they currently are.

You need to give 5 reputation points every 12 hours? 0-o
That's a little insane.. x/
Basically making the limits almost completely irrelevant.

Do you know why the limit is in place?
It's not just to prevent people from spamming reputation.
It's to ensure that people value the points that they give, knowing they can only give so many a day.
It's to ensure, as much as it can, that when people do give reputation, it's for something important to them, and they put effort into writing it.

Already, even with the limit at what it is, there's still far too many useless garbage 10 cent reputation reviews that should be removed, "Nice guy", "Toxic, DNDW".
For the majority of the forum that this would affect, and keep in mind a change like this must apply to all users, a limit so high would only worsen the situation.

If someone has a popular business and needs to give rep it gets kind of annoying. Imagine having to write down names you still need to give rep to, the list gets bigger and bugger and its a never ending cycle.
I doubt you're spending much time getting to know these people you would supposedly be adding reputation to if you're consistently intending on giving it to 4+ people every day. Especially if you can't even remember their names.
As I said in my first response reputation you leave is supposed to be important to you.
Not "Vouch, spent 99 cents on my resource the other day".

You never "need" to give reputation to anyone. It's not a reward for a transaction. Our rules actually specifically state this.
Reputation is an expression of someone's view of a person. Whether that be their reliability, receptiveness, understanding and patience, professionalism, whatever.
What possible important view of someone new can you have to share 4 times every day? Please tell me it's not "Vouch, bought my product". Come on.

There are a few people on this forum, some of whom have since been banned, who have really terrible character, and have a terrible time getting along with people, spread toxicity and discord amongst the community every day that they're active. Yet they have a bunch of positive rep because every time they spend 10 cents in a transaction with someone BOOM another positive rep, why? Because people misuse the system and give positive rep to everyone that breathes a penny into their pockets, and it doesn't actually reflect their view of that person at all, because they have no view, all they know is they got 10 cents.
And when a high rep member spreads their cancer, and they and member X end up negative repping each other, those looking to do deals with member X see that negative reputation left by a very high rep user and refuse to do business. So member X and this toxic member agree to remove their negative rep and go their separate ways, and on it goes. With this toxic member, from a rep standpoint, squeaky clean and looking like everyone loves them.
It's terrible, and leads to a perverse and inaccurate reflection of the community's feelings about certain members all starting with people misusing it. Giving them away like candy to members they don't actually feel anything towards.
It adds up.

If I had it my way, I'd reduce the amount of reputation you could give per day even further; really force people to think about who they're giving reputation to and why and if it's important enough to them to prioritize.

Surprise. He only wanted this change so he can repboost himself by giving other people rep.
