Well this happened to me so i got pissed off and wanted to write about it. So i got neg rep not too long ago because some kid takes criticism and cries about it. But i got that disputed and removed because he didn’t dispute it when he had the chance. YET the one day he decided to come on after i got it removed he ADDS IT BACK and i’m like okay wtf i’ll just get this removed, but NOOOO the moderators say “iF thE usEr coMes bAcK onLinE thEy cAn argUe agAin” honestly this is stupid why should they be allowed to argue again after you already got it removed. Complete BS.

Short summary: they shouldn’t be able to argue a dispute again after the failed the first time.

Exactly. If the rep was thoroughly looked at the first time, there should be no need for it to be disputed once again, and if the staff DIDN'T thoroughly look into it, that's a problem in and of itself.

Re-adding reputation for the exact same reason will lead to warning points and the removal of the reputation point.

However if it is for a different reason, the process will be repeated because it is a separate issue entirely and therefore this new reputation point may perhaps be valid. Winning a dispute does not automatically give you immunity from a user.

Correct.

If you take a second and look at the neg rep he was given, you can clearly see that the guy is very immature. I mean what's the reason? He neg repped him for getting the neg rep removed? It'd be different if the guy had tons of positive reputation, and was at least somewhat reasonable.

Immunity is one thing, but complete immaturity is another.

I was making a statement on the general process that should be followed.

If YoloSanta can PM me the name of the staff member who made the error, I would be more than happy to correct the situation as it definitely is an invalid reputation point in my eyes. It may be one of our newer mods who are still learning the ropes and mistakes can happen - things that can be learnt from.

This already a rule, if a person gets a reputation removed on a person, then he cannot add it again for the same reason.

I'm pretty new here but I'd like to chime in on this because I'm pretty curious.

There should be some sort of "cooldown" or probation period when the offender loses the dispute to prevent something like this ever happening again. The fact that the offender was able to immediately neg rep after losing the dispute is absolutely ridiculous (and slightly hilarious)

Main thing is that most of the disputes for reps take forever, so when they re add a neg rep, it feels like the staff don't care about it.

Not being enforced but yet you said;

It's clearly being enforced, it just wasn't enforced the minute that it was added onto you.
This is about preventing people from re arguing a case thas been dealt with. Not about the rep that was added or removed.

I don't believe that people are able to re-argue the same case more than once. Has this actually happened where member1 gave member2 a rep for something, argued their case and lost only to re-add the same reputation for the same thing and was able to argue the case a second time?
that’s the problem, a member was able to add the reputation for a 2nd time and once staff got word the staff member stated exactly “Once a user comes back online, they can reopen the dispute.“
