Two parts to this,

1) if a reputation rating is older than x amount, it can't be disputed but must be worked out between the users. It is impossible to keep a record of each negative rating a user has given and it doesn't make sense that a user can go back and just start disputing every negative rating they've received in hopes it will get removed because a user is inactive.

2) If a user opens a dispute and does not reply for x amount of time, the dispute is closed. Personal situation where a user read and didn't/hasn't replied in almost two months however @/eclipse just recently replied to the thread asking me for more proof after I've given sufficient evidence for the rating I posted.

The rep system is trash but this rep dispute system is even more trash.

If you disagree, reply with reasoning please.

This thread isn’t even about the original suggestion, it’s about two people fighting over post farming and being mad at each other.

This just does not seem fair, if a member quited the market for a couple months, and can't remove that x reputation that he forgot to appeal before.

They can dispute the rating when it's applied.

If a user provided all of the proof that they should've in the first place this wouldn't be a problem, especially now that we're no longer allowing our users to report legacy feedback.

2) If a user opens a dispute and does not reply for x amount of time, the dispute is closed. Personal situation where a user read and didn't/hasn't replied in almost two months however @/eclipse just recently replied to the thread asking me for more proof after I've given sufficient evidence for the rating I posted.
This is more of a problem if the staff member is busy with a lot of disputes and loses a dispute in their conversations. If someone doesn't respond and they need to respond to keep the dispute moving, then it would be closed. If that person isn't replying but also isn't needed at that moment because the other user needs to provide proof for it to be considered valid/invalid, then it doesn't really make a difference if the other user hasn't responded (thanks Kram).

In the future please create suggestions on their on thread each, as it is much easier for us to give feedback if they're separate.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
