Reputation notifications

Hello!

So recently I was dealing with reputations and I was keep seeing that my reputations are sometimes gone one by one and I am not notified why was it removed and by who.

I think you should add the notification and the settings to toggle on/off to see the reputation being removed by user.
As well whenever staff removes your reputation you never get notified why and by who.

If you disagree please define why.

This is quite a difficult spot. On the one hand, it'd be useful to know why some of your rep has vanished, what it was and who by.
On the other hand, this might encourage some users to hound those that remove positive rep because they've seen you do things that make them feel like their rep is no longer valid.
I do agree staff removals could do with some notification, but here again there's the problem of users making a big deal and arguing over every single decision. This is also the main reason why staff can decide if they send a notification about resolving a report or not.
Usually if positive rep gets removed it is because it was too low quality ("Cool guy, vouch" or paraphrased).

I don't actually agree with your first explanation because if I DO get notification that user gave me negative/positive/neutral reputation then I should be notified about removing it too.
It does not even matter how they feel if they don't want it then they could easily hop in DMs and discuss..
I was "victim" of same thing you stated but it was false, I had 40 positive reputations meanwhile all were NOT violating rules and were right but still got removed because one member that was good with Staff he abused I assume.

Now if they add, good thing it will be that I knew why it was removed and by who.
Same with users if he removed it we could easily just ask why and discuss.

I find this suggestion very useful and not hard or difficult at all.

I don't see why there is the need for you/someone to be notified when a positive/neutral/negative reputation has been removed. They gave the rep, If they want to remove it, let them do it. Even if is just to ask them ''why they removed the rep'' I dont think there is a need to provide a ''reason'' for the reputation... (Please do not misunderstand, There is of course reasons for negative reputations, But im talking as a reason of ''why it was removed'' not ''why it was added'')[DOUBLEPOST=1511430685][/DOUBLEPOST]Staff Notifications would be nice, As i can tell when these ''staffs'' took their time to remove the rep, but normal users no.

Alright but you woupd understand if you had more reputations you keep seeing some of reps are being removed and you don't know why but okay appreciated your opinion!

This has been implemented a while ago now, just never moved to accepted.

Thanks for the suggestion, whenever rep is removed you will receive a notification now.
