You should make it so people would have to upload an image and/or post a link when giving people any sort of reputation to make it more beneficial and more unlikely of any false rep being placed on profiles. It is a very simple but efficient way of preventing this issue.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

This wouldnt fit under the fact that you can make a reputation on a person for pretty much anything, example being toxic or being a bro.
Also, photoshop.

You could show an image of them being a bro to you or being toxic like a screenshot of what they've said. Photoshop is still an issue but that is also an issue during support cases so you could just dispute it with evidence to back up your point of them photoshopping the rep to give you neg rep.

Point 1: this would mean every single reputation needs to be manually verified by staff.
Point 2: this would require serious modifications to the code for relatively little effect
point 3: just because someone uploads an image does not mean it's valid, so automatic verification is next to impossible

point 4: a far better alternative is that you can give reputation as usual, but should the reputation be reported as "false" or otherwise invalid, it gains a little icon (or other modification, depending on how much work it is) to show it is being disputed. THAT is when staff would have to evaluate picture proof.
DECISIONS MADE ON DISPUTES WOULD BE FINAL!

There's a reason it's automated, not "request for staff to add this reputation to this person's profile".

This is an amazing idea.

They do need to fix this system as you can go onto a random persons profile and give them a bad rep for nothing, there should be a system to stop false reps been given out

It does need to be constructive. "this guy is a dickhead" is not valid reputation. "this guy has been spamming the shit out of my threads for no clear reason" is debatable, but would probably pass, depending on how much there was actual spamming.

As for another way to discourage false rep, anyone who posts undeniably low quality (negative) reputation should get a warning point for each one they post, with an expiry time of 3-6 months.
This would discourage people from being too enthusiastic with neg-repping, while being somewhat forgiving for honest mistakes.
Just another suggestion though.

For example some kid called me autistic because I posted on his profile that he is toxic when given advice and I got a warning for harassment/trolling/disrespect but the rep got removed and no staff member will reply about the situation.

Denied, reputation can be given for any reason right now and for the moment we're planning on keeping it that way.

Thanks for the suggestion.
