Hello. I have a new suggestion for MC-Market. Basically, it's about the reputation system. I think that you should only, and ONLY be able to rep someone if you have dealt with them, and that staff should be allowed to ask for proof at any time. This is both to stop friends from doing "rep4rep" and people to rep you just because they don't think you're nice enough.
Anyways, if this won't be implemented; there is a bug. It says "Trade Rating", however it should say something like "Community Rating"

Doge made a MUCH better suggestion that was denied in the end, as that business and person rep was seppareted, with business being the one shown in posts but personal rep is still allowed to make.
Obviously, you want personal rep gone because you want you fuck-up to be nullified, but I would much rather see doge's suggestion be approved then yours.

Well, it's a bit too late for that, would be a lot of work for staff to clean up all the non-deal reps. I think maybe another rep system would work, but exclusively for deals and when questioned by someone they can report it and staff will remove it if there's no evidence of a deal occurring.

Yeah I do like this idea, both Kim and myself (being unfairly repped) have both been gangrepped. To add to the idea which Kim has posted, create a system which forces a user to post proof of a transaction/encounter with the person if they want to leave neg rep. This proof would only be shown admin side and not publicly seen. Positive rep and neutral can bypass they proof system as they do not affect the users time on this forum, unlike being neg gangrepped.

Well, reputation is about how people feel about you. This has been suggested over and over, declined over and over.
Let's just start off with this.

Reputation can be good, about your service or something you helped someone with and they want to give you feedback. A nice guy vouch, which you have plenty should actually be removed since that are just false/free reputation.

I kind of define reputation by something you actually did. I helped guy A, Guy A gave me a positive reputation. I trashed Guy B's thread, Guy B's gave me a negative reputation because well, I did someone and that is how the action feels towards him. This eliminates the rep4rep method or just the

(???) reputations. If you follow this method than no reputation should ever be false or removed. Since if you ask yourself "What did I do?" you cannot just answer with being friendly since that's just following the general rules of the forum.

With the negative reputations, let's just get some of yours as an example.

, so let's apply the method. "What did I do?"; apparently you were behaving negative towards the user, then you are also neglecting the rules of this forum by having respect for people and what not. So, you behaved negatively towards that user, this is how the user felt in repsonse of your actions. Let's take another one:

"What did I do?"; you behaved negatively towards that user, tried to force him to do something which made that person feel bad or uncomfortable. So, he gives you a negative reputation. His opinion towards you was negative, he had the right to give you a negative reputation. I even took the milder ones which are more feeling based than action based, however they are all a reflection of your actions. I've been blunt with people, maybe even break their comfort zone.. but, I have never been given a negative reputation because at that moment I was not nice enough. I was not tremendously friendly, no, but I did not disrespect them, force them or be toxic to them. Most negative reputation is actually atleast 90% true, saying that someone's build is not the quality they think it is, is a bit unfriendly, but it's honest and you do not disrespect them. Simply saying it sucks or that's it trash or flaming them for their bad building skills is disrespectful and probably will end up with a negative reputation towards them.

Then, moving onto the work part. This will be tremendous amount of work for the staffs to monitor. 'They can ask for proof anytime' well, they sort of already do, if you report a reputation they will look into it, they might even search for proof of the reputation. This just happens behind the scenes. The staff is here to manage the website, not to babysit trantrum throwing kids who are active keyboard warriors since they think they can just do the fuck they want. Well, guess what, the reputation system is already sort of preventing it. Staff should not have to babysit your reputation. If you behave, you won't get a negative reputation.
Just ask yourself another question: "Would I like to do the work of monitoring every reputation?" - Have you seen the statistics of the 200,000 thread post? Those are insane!

At last, you hold grudges. "These users disagreed because they are mad" That's already a dick move. Man, come on, move on.

I think if you just thought it was a general good idea you could've done some research and you would've seen how often it has been denied. After what has been going on with you on this forum I think this is a suggestion made because of the numerous amount of negative reputation you have received.
