Hello. I have a new suggestion for MC-Market. Basically, it's about the reputation system. I think that you should only, and ONLY be able to rep someone if you have dealt with them, and that staff should be allowed to ask for proof at any time. This is both to stop friends from doing "rep4rep" and people to rep you just because they don't think you're nice enough.
Anyways, if this won't be implemented; there is a bug. It says "Trade Rating", however it should say something like "Community Rating"

According to the definition of 'Reputation', it is not only for trades.

Yeah I do like this idea, both Kim and myself (being unfairly repped) have both been gangrepped. To add to the idea which Kim has posted, create a system which forces a user to post proof of a transaction/encounter with the person if they want to leave neg rep. This proof would only be shown admin side and not publicly seen. Positive rep and neutral can bypass they proof system as they do not affect the users time on this forum, unlike being neg gangrepped.

And trying to call people mad or otherwise mentally influenced just because they disagree with your very clearly selfishly motivated suggestion is EXACTLY the sort of behaviour that gets you neg-repped.

Doge made a MUCH better suggestion that was denied in the end, as that business and person rep was seppareted, with business being the one shown in posts but personal rep is still allowed to make.
Obviously, you want personal rep gone because you want you fuck-up to be nullified, but I would much rather see doge's suggestion be approved then yours.

I think I made something similar back in 2015 about a marketplace system. The thread got buried, guessing because the amount of effort would be high and it was pretty long - people cba to read. The reputation system is pointless on this site. It's just another way to measure "reactions".

I %100 agree with this, I was requesting video editors to make compilation videos, and then this guy decides to -rep me because he thinks it's morally wrong, like wtaf. He then added that I swore at him, however this was when he went out of his way to trash my thread repeatedly yet I'm in the wrong and I deserve the -rep

So report them? thinking compilation videos are 'morally wrong' is not valid reputation. It does not say anything about how reliable you may be as a user of this forum, unlike cases where you seriously misbehave. If the report gets denied, then the definitions of false rep need to be extended.
