[REQUEST] Rating System Modification

I have a change request for the rating system (Agree, Funny, Informative, etc..) which I feel would make the site much more enjoyable.

1. Remove the 'Funny' rating

• I cannot recall a time I have seen this rating used in a positive way. Users just use it as a way to insult users without replying to threads.
• Considering there is not an 'Off-Topic' section, I do not see how this rating could be used legitimately without a post being off-topic. I do not feel there is a reason to promote insulting others on the forums. I would prefer to see every thread on this website filled with positive responses; however, most of them have several posts insulting others for doing something as simple as asking a question. Those posts then receive 'Funny' ratings and prompts others to attempt to make jokes as well.

2. Add an 'Off-Topic' rating

• There seem to be several off-topic posts on here recently. Whenever I see these posts, many people reply to this person on the thread saying their post is off-topic which, in turn, is only creating more off-topic posts.
• My idea for this 'Off-Topic' rating is: If a post has received two or more 'Off-Topic' ratings, it will be automatically collapsed and appear as seen below:

• To prevent posts being incorrectly marked as 'Off-Topic,' there are a few options.
• Option 1 (To prevent someone using multiple accounts): You account must be X days old and must have at least X posts to use the Off-Topic rating.
• Option 2 (To prevent random Off-Topic downvotes): Any positive rating can counter an Off-Topic rating. I will do my best to explain my thinking for this. If you are familiar with how the rating system on Reddit works, that is my thinking. When a post is made you start with one "Positive" point. The post would remain visible until it went below zero points (-1). This is so it would need two Off-Topic ratings to become hidden. Any positive rating (Agree, Informative, etc..) would essentially take one Off-Topic point away from a post. So if a post has two 'Off-Topic' ratings, but 3 'Agree' ratings, it would still be visible.
• NOTE: I am not implying I want negative ratings implemented into the website. I do not like the idea of negative ratings. Off-Topic ratings would essentially be neutral.

I would enjoy feedback on these ideas. I will probably end up rewording how I explained the Off-Topic rating later today as it is really a mess, but I am in a hurry right now.

Agree with the funny thing though, just seems ignorant when people mark someone's thread as funny because they're doing something wrong or it's not a good deal or something they don't find correct
