First off, for all those who think I might become competition, flock away, I simply want to know since I am going to soon open a server, and am willing to save every penny I have.

I have:

- Graphics covered.
- Plugin development covered.

All I need to pay for is a host, advertisement, and that's about all I really need.

So, here are a few set of questions, also some answers.

Q. Do you have a capable imagination?
A. Since the gamemode I'm willing to make is brand new and not involved in any other game in any aspect, yes, I do.

Q. Do you have the right funding?
A. Yes.

Q.Why not hire a builder?
A. Well, why not do it by yourself if you can?

Q.Are you in a rush to open this server? Do you acknowledge it might take time to develop building skills?

A. No for the first question, yes for the second.

Now, here are some questions for YOU:

What tools do you use?(plugins, what they do, etc)
How did YOU start?
How do you know which block goes where?
Do you take inspiration from anything?

Again, thank you! :)

I can build for you I'm cheap!

Just joking, I'd recommend using Fast Async World-Edit first off, this allows you to make large world edits without lag, such as pasting spawns, ect without waiting much time. Voxel Sniper I've never really used, but I hear it's a great tool.

Learn to use world edit, it's one of the biggest things builders need to know and it's not too hard. Once you build a section of the build, such as a building or pathway, you can copy and paste it around to fill space, you can also finish a small portion of the map and rotate it around to complete the build if you're looking for a symmetrical build.
By all means I'm not the best builder, but when building make sure to use the right color pallet, you don't want to be using modern materials in a medieval build for example, stick with things that work. Some of the favorites is spruce wood, oak wood, stone brick, cobble ect..
Use stairs and slabs often, add small details that add to the build without making it look cluttered and over-detailed where every single block is a slab/stair. Use a base color with complementary stairs/slabs of a different type to build a base line around it, here are some examples of what to do and not to do.. :/

That's a tower I built ages ago, wasn't good by any means, looked split up and not flowing. Don't do that.

That big tower is nice, maybe a tad over detailed, my friend StrafinMC built it. It's not the best picture in the world for the example because you don't have the right angel, but there's a big spot in the middle where it looks like it's going to snap. Don't do that.

That's probably the most successful out of the three, it's very flowing and you can see the stone brick complements the birch, almost looks like it's a frame holding it together. It might be a tad much over-detailed but it's a good example.

Here's a huge tip for world edit, re-use what you have. StrafinMC built this whole spawn practically by copying and pasting one tower around and connecting them.

If you look you can see it.
Shape and structure are important too, make sure to stick with a nice theme, don't have half of the towers have pointy roofs and half round, at least Imo that's not the way to go.

I'm not by any means that good of a builder, but those are some tips.
My biggest struggle is filling in space, but using landscape can help with that, a few bushes, ponds ect are great. Hope that helped!
