I don't have experience with MineAcademy but I do have experience in general programming and tutoring. My advice is to just not bother with payed tutorials no matter what kind of code you'd like to learn to write. You can find anything you want to learn online for free, if java and spigot itself is free then why spend money on someone to teach you about a free language and api, yes I get it its not just the tutorials itself but the help you get from the tutors but then again something as big as MineAcademy or IT Academy won't really have enough instructors to serve you every need, and the times they do help you out you better hope you have an actual problem and not just a pom.xml error. You could also pretty much get the same help from just googling your problem and reading the answer on StackOverflow or just posting a new thread about it yourself. YouTube also has a crap ton of tutorials on java spigot, bungee, paper, sponge, mysql, json, graphic design, marketing etc. which are all in part needed to make and market your plugin. So unless you have some money to spare and you're incapable of basic problem solving then yeah I guess you might as well go to mineacademy or hire a private tutor, but I'm sure you'd be fine without
Hm okay thank you. I have tried online tutorialls but I don't know to be honest. I know how to import JavaPlugin and make VERY basic plugins. I am talking super basic like message on join and heal & feed command.
So as a person who can only really code in Python. I struggled to adapt to Java by using YouTube, so I went on Udemy and paid like £15 so I can learn how to make Minecraft Plugins. It was better than watching YouTube videos since everything was broke down and the longest you would spend watching is like 40 mins. They also offered downloads so you could download what he made and adapt it to what you needed which was a huge bonus.
I’d suggest not to use MineAcadamy since it seems a bit shit and oversells what it is and use YouTube to start off with. If you find that YouTube is not easy to learn from. I’d suggest buying the course off Udemy which teaches you loads of things. It also has a Discord where you get a lot of active help and also teaches you a few things that the community knows which is amazing.
