Hey there! My name is hyper, and I own HarborMC, a One Piece-themed (slightly MMORPG) Minecraft server aiming to incorporate as much of the One Piece world into Minecraft as possible!
I've got a grand total of ~9 years of server staffing, management, and ownership experience under my belt, so we're not going into this completely blind! HarborMC was a passion project of mine that I planned out a few years back, but was nameless until 6 months ago, when a developer and I were able to spare enough time to get the server's core mechanics up and going.
Since then, we were able to get Loguetown built, a good few Devil Fruits + their abilities in, some weapons, and our next island, Alabasta, under construction! We're super excited to show off what we have in store for everyone, but we need your help!
Unsurprisingly, I underestimated how long it'd take to get HarborMC on its feet (hence this post, lol) and am now looking to bring aboard some talented members of the BBB community!
As stated in the title, currently we're looking for:
Builders
Builders would be responsible for building various different towns/building interiors for maps alongside some other smaller projects.
Game Designers
Game Designers would mainly be responsible for, well, designing the game! This role encompasses the roles of Writer, Planner, alongside any other role that has anything to do with the generation of ideas for the general mechanics of the game.
Developers
Developers would be primarily responsible for developing the backend of the server. Currently, we use Denizen to create a majority of our systems, but aren't against any differing-language-using developers from coming along and joining in on the fun! While some may not find it satisfactory seeing Denizen being used to develop larger systems, it works for our current developers and our current model. Again, us using Denizen shouldn't discourage any Java developers (or any other developers of any other programming languages/plugins) from joining in!
