[Requesting] [Hytale] Programmer for a Hytale MMORPG

Hey!

I’m a solo indie developer building an ambitious MMORPG-style server on Hytale, and I’m looking for a Programmer to help bring core systems and gameplay features to life.

Important note

• This is an indie project with a limited budget
• We’re looking for someone long-term, not short-term contract work
• The use of AI is prohibbited

If you’re a programmer with game design insight, you’ll receive preferential consideration, especially for gameplay systems, tools, and feature implementation.

Requirements

• 18+ years old
• 5+ years of programming experience (game dev preferred)
• Experience with MMORPGs or large-scale modded servers
• Strong problem-solving skills and clean, scalable code practices
• Comfortable collaborating on complex systems
• Fluent in Java
• Experience with Hytale

What you’ll do

• Implement core gameplay systems (classes, abilities, progression, combat, skills)
• Build tools and backend systems to support content and scalability
• Work closely with design to turn ideas into playable features
• Help shape the technical foundation of the server
