The tuck box should match the theme/design of the back of the cards themselves. The theme we’re going for is secrecy/mysteriousness. The design for the cards can be found here:
Color scheme: Look up 'crime city twisted fate' on Google Images. We are going for a similar color scheme as that.
Example tuck boxes:
We plan to print this tuck box on colored paper stock (eg. black, purple, etc) such that all other colors on it will be different colors of foiling. This means that any white or negative space will assume the color of the paper stock. (Refer to examples in link above)
Resolution does not matter--we will be vectorizing this design afterwards
Budget & Payment: $100
Obviously, this is an unorthodox request. I am not expecting anyone to have ever drawn a tuck box before and I would be lying if I said you would not need to do any research on your own. I am happy to provide whatever information is needed, but you will likely still need to reference online sources. I am willing to adhere to whatever payment policy you have in place under the sole condition that I be provided with a very rough sketch/outline first. Like I said, this is an unusual request and I need to make sure that you are capable of doing what I am asking. I have contacted multiple designers now who after accepting payment, told me that they are unable to complete the commission. So save us both time and make sure you're able to do this project before I pay.
Timeframe:
I do not have a set timeframe but I expect you to frequently keep me up to date. This project will need a lot of revisions and the illustration can be done in stages (eg. rough outline, then sketch, then add color). I would like to have everything done in a week. This will be impossible if correspondence between us happens every other day. Frequent communication is paramount.
