Require users to provide proof

This probably isn’t the best idea , but it would be more safe if the users of the forum were required to show some sort of ID to show proof of their age and location and stuff Although it’s just a forum market , deals happen we’re people tend to get scammed , just think about it there would be way less scamming , you don’t have to have underaged kids on the website

IT fixes so many things wrong with the website.

I don’t know what type an ID , but an I’d with some information that’s reportable to the police if somewone scams

Legally, collecting sensitive data from people, and potentially giving that to people to allow them to use it, if a scam resolver decides the person has scammed someone (Sometimes they do make mistakes, and sometimes people might not be able to reply to the report, therefore are automatically banned for scamming), would put MCM in a very difficult position (GDPR, DPA, etc).

Also, most people here are under 18, and are unlikely to have any ID, other than a birth certificate and / or passport.
Imagine trying to ask your parents for your passport, so you can take a picture and send it to someone so you can use a Minecraft forum. The vast majority of parents would say no.

If it’s something big, like a $1k + deal, you could always arrange a legally binding contract, or require proof of ID before going ahead, but there is no need for MCM to get involved in any of that.

I'm not ok with sending my ID to any company ever. Especially with a site like this (which I do trust, but you know what I mean), information like this is very sensitive and you never know what may happen to it when the wrong person gets access to it.
