Require valid reason before declining any suggestion

Recently I have been noticing suggestions being declined and moved to the "Declined Suggestions" section without a valid reason being publicly posted by BeBosny (or whoever declines the thread). All I'm asking for is for the suggestion decider to make a final post before locking it with the reasoning behind each decision. Also, the alert that a suggestion is moved to another forum gives no useful information beyond that it was moved.

If there is a good reason for it to be declined, then fair enough. But we never know if there is or not. I get the feeling a lot of them are declined, just because the person reviewing doesn’t like the idea, regardless of what others seem to think. This might not be the case, and a good reason for declining each, would show that it isn’t the case.

Unfortunately, it's not up to the community to decide whether or not a reason is 'valid'. I do agree that all serious suggestions must have a reason why they will never be implemented, but I can call right now that if we say a 'valid' reason is required, there'll be three dozen people crying about each suggestion being denied for an 'invalid' reason.

Yes, I understand that. I want whichever staff member that reviews the suggestion to post the last reply before locking it. In that reply, they should state the reason for declining it.

yeah, I'll throw an agree on that. Communication is always important.
Since it's locked straight after, it won't have arguments as a problem.

I can see that happening too. Some reason would be nice though, even if its just, saying that a feature would cost too much, or take too long to add. Anything is better than the thread just been closed. If its an idea a lot of people want, there will be another thread opened later on, asking the same. If there was a clear reason why it can’t be done, it could reduce the amount of duplicate suggestion threads.

For example, your suggestions regarding pokemon go accounts. It's a market, it brings activity to the site in some way. Majority disagreed with you aswell.

If another member already stated enough reasons for it to be declined and I agree with the user, I'll usually just archive it.

Any more important threads will always get a response from me.

Alright that's good enough for me, but I would prefer if you re-state the reason in the final reply before locking a suggestion. I don't care if it has already been stated somewhere in the thread. I sometimes don't have time to ready every reply.
