Not sure if another thread has been made about this but I don't think any that have been made recently. Recently staff have been enforcing the rule that proof must be posted publicly. What point does this serve? I think Narakavi and Monty made excellent points that proof can just be faked. Inspect element and editing images takes no more than 2 minutes. Like they said, non-live proof is never reliable, so the only way to provide any sort of real proof would be to log on an actual server with the person requesting it. Now I believe that a large amount of people here would not want to have to log to a server every single time someone requests it. Low-ballers would be constantly asking for proof. Rather than posting proof publicly where everyone can see it (Marc), why not provide it privately? We all know that Marc has previously stated that he could in fact find out which accounts were sold via simple IP examinations of a particular account. Though he did say it would be unnecessary work, I'm sure a lot of people here have seen the comments he's made about this community. Bluntly put he dislikes the people here and I don't think I speak alone when I say that I don't find it unlikely that one day, Mojang could do a mass account deleting of valuable accounts. So why the need to unnecessarily endanger valuable accounts? I'm not talking about $10 semi-OGs here, I'm talking about accounts worth hundreds of dollars. People use "*" to censor out names already as it is due to wariness, and public proof just ruins the purpose of that.
