Not sure this has been posted already, please comment the link if it has :)

Wouldn't it be great if resource authors could choose how many copies they wish to
sell for the resources on mc-market. This would help drive more sales on site.

Works great for selling exclusive, semi exclusive and none exclusive builds and setups.

Once the resource has been purchased x times it will only be available to download for people who have purchased the resource and removes the ability for anyone else to view the resource.

You would need to remove the ability to change the amount of copies (to avoid allowing exclusive products to become non exclusive after someone purchases)

The quantity idea can be a good feature but might as well be a shitshow if terms not described well enough. Imagine being a user, and you buy five spawns and choose which spawns you want to buy, then regret the choices. In that case, what are the user's rights to change his mind? And what would the fairness be for the user after the purchase?

95% of users don't even read TOS on MCM and general sites, so they can't expect users to read terms either, which brings many more issues.

Regarding exclusivity, I would like to quote a message from Justis.
As I’ve already hinted at, my worries are mostly in how creating a feature to enable this very specific type of sale will cause confusion to our buyers and sellers alike, as well as make uncertain where rights to a product lay. The division of rights is a very complex topic. Not just due to the fact that there can be multiple people in possession of various combinations of rights, but also due to the different kinds of rights that exist.
Most commonly including:
- The right to use the product
- The right to create local copies
- The right to redistribute copies
- The right to sell or pass on one’s own rights
- The right to grant additional rights to others
- The right to revoke rights
- etc.
It's going to be a hassle to ensure the rights of every part. And who's going to take the responsibility?

I like the idea, but I think it might be more hassle than good from the teams' perspective. But the idea of a feature where you allow an X amount of downloads/licence would be a great addition.
