Hello everyone,

I just wanted to hear some thoughts about customers.. Fun right?
Imagine you are selling a discord bot, website or plugins.

A customer purchases the product for their own project, they then give the product or setup the resource in another use case such as "a friends" minecraft server.

I'm totally fine with people who is "Co Owner" to share resources they have purchased.
I've had a customer recently try running one of my resources in another server that he is "Moderator" in.. Should I allow him and what's your thoughts.

Photo of example:

One of my resources has a license system and when he attempted to startup the bot it checked to see if he had "ADMINISTRATOR" rights in the discord server, Customer is now demanding a refund and opened a ticket on MCMARKET because he can't use the resource in a server that he's "Moderator".

My resource terms of service: https://www.mc-market.org/resources/20109/market-place-view-tnc

I don't really care if I have to refund him; just want to know what the community thinks about "Resource Sharing"

Many thanks
Lloyd

It's very very common. In the instance they're license is being threatened I can see the owner "promoting" the moderator just so he can keep it. It's very common in Minecraft Spigot Jars where even in some instances some servers even promote players to owner just so they can use their jar license.
Personally, I'd say put a cap of 3-4 server cap on the license then it'd be up to your jurisdiction on if they can get more servers or not.

This is something which has been discussed in the staff team, very recently actually.

I believe the conclusion we came to was it is up to the resource owner and their terms of conditions.

I'm sure Justis will tell me off if I'm wrong though.

I am at the point now since I do everything via discord. You can use it in unlimited server if you have the ADMIN permission, This is the equivalent to OP in a minecraft server.[DOUBLEPOST=1634127438][/DOUBLEPOST]
