REST API for update checking

But more specifically, is there a REST API for just update checking of resources?

Basically: Just something that returns the latest version of a resource

There is currently no public API for our resources, however, among many other resource additions/changes I look forward to us making in the future, this is now certainly one of them, and one I'd not thought about much until you brought it up. Thank you.

Maybe a REST API returning a JSON format similar to

Imaginary url: http://www.mc-market.org/api/resource?id=123

{resource:{id:123,name:"Test",latest_version:"1.0.0b"}}

allowing for future expansion + easier to parse in java (or web) resources

Imaginary url: http://www.mc-market.org/api/resource?name=Test

{resources:[{id:123,name="Test",latest_version:"1.0.0b"},{id:231,name="Test",latest_version:"2.0"}]}

4 years later than anticipated, we have finally introduced our custom, first-party API. It's taken a while, but is definitely worth the wait IMO, the API is incredibly extensive and allows for very fine-grained control. More info: https://www.mc-market.org/wiki/ultimate-api/
