PayPal states you must be 18 years of age to use there service. https://prnt.sc/ulg1mq There are loopholes however as in student accounts and partner accounts but many users on here are under the age of 18 and use there own PayPal account to do transactions! This should not be allowed as it encourages underage people to participate in breaking the tos of PayPal.

From Doge:
Why would we want to ban underage PayPal usage?
  1. Legitimize the marketplace. The site hypocritically enforces Rule 5.4 by striking down those who violate product ownership rights heavily, yet turns a blind eye to the ToS of PayPal. Choose one or the other. Remove 5.4 and commit to being a black market, or equally enforce your own rules across all sections of the forum. Being inconsistent and half-assed only annoys the community even more.

  2. Get rid of our most toxic and notorious members. The market is saturated, comprising of underage users breaking PayPal's ToS, returning ban evaders and underage PayPal users have the most linked scam reports made on them often closing due to inconclusive evidence.

  3. The site no longer needs to allocate resources to deal with the many scam reports. "Opportunity cost"

  4. MC-Market will not die. By considering points 1 and 3, MCM can become an even better place for everyone and expand into even more markets, while being morally consistent. There are far more and far better opportunities out there.

Recently, MCM made a good step in the right direction by enforcing strict policies against resource leakers and those affiliated. However, in the eyes of many, it was a half-baked effort knowing that this site thrives on violating PayPal's ToS due to many users using it while still underage. I wish to see the prevention of underage PayPal usage as a step towards making this marketplace a platform that actually cares about ethics.

also will lower the amount of scam reports involving charge backs, and promote the use of crypto (two good things)

Honestly I 100% agree with this suggestion. Let’s just get rid of any and all forms of payment as minors are clearly using Mc-Market to make unethical purchases.

I can understand the frustration that people must be feeling about us making such significant changes to our platforms with the removal of the sale of Minecraft and social media account sales. This is an ongoing process, and we don't claim to be perfect at the moment. In my announcement initially discussing these changes, I stated the following:

In order to protect the policies and rights of all sellers and buyers on MCM, going forward we intend to continue making changes to the platform to make sure there is no content that is in violation. However, this will take place over time as we continue to investigate the user agreements of potential companies of interest and develop appropriate tools and policies to accommodate them.

Additionally, I said:

If you are a representative of any brand or business and you believe that your rights are being infringed on by content posted or promoted by MCM, please start a line of communication by opening a ticket here https://www.mc-market.org/tickets/new and we will work with you to make sure any violations of your rights are dealt with.

For now, I will deny this suggestion and all others like it while we continue working towards becoming a more legitimate marketplace. We appreciate your patience with us in making these changes, but they won't be able to occur overnight and any additional suggestions made saying "remove x!" will receive the same response.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
