Revert Reactions back to Ratings

I think we can all agree that this was a completely unnecessary change. The idea of "reacting with Agree" is completely nonsensical and it just makes the rating system feel memey and lame. The system was completely fine before and most other forums refer to them as ratings. Calling them reactions just confuses people and doesn't make any sense.

This was a change made without any sort of feedback from the community, made completely on a whim by the previous administrator as per his posts that indicate that.

Under Ajdin's leadership, this will be a new era of community involvement in the site and I hope that we can all agree that decisions such as this one should be reverted.

I really dont care, personally.
But yea its stupid to call them "Reactions" instead of what EVERYONE calls them, Ratings.
I dont realy mind though, as its just the name thats changed.

I think they changed it to reactions due to the word 'ratings' being misleading causing new users to believe that someone with high 'ratings' is reputable and trustworthy.

I agree as well although it did need to change due to the fact word was misleading.

I think the word ratings is fine. It's not like it says "Reputation". That'd be a problem. People can interpret the word ratings any way they want really.

Nara is right - and Bosny has shown his distress to this update for a while now. I am sure he will listen to the community and change this back. It was an un-necessary change, people still call it ratings... I know I do.

Why should we be like every other forum in existence. I like reactions because it is different! We should stand out from the competition.

Because all that does is confuse new members and make our forum look like a memey joke by calling our ratings reactions.

At this point "reactions" is a lingering term of the horrid update we had to endure. An update that the staff team reverted back. It's time to revert the name back too. I RATE this post agree.

They'll just be called "Ratings" no matter what they're labeled alongside the update that implemented this change not been needed with quite a few of the community wanting to forget about what it brought to the forums. +1 Agree rating, revert them back to their old name.
